Why not?

Type these words into the search bar on your iTunes MP3 player of choice (which should be Media Monkey) and list the first song that appears in the results.

NotesMy default sort is by title, so this isn't nearly as random as it could have been. (Or perhaps more so: say if default sort was 'genre' ... that could skew the results quite a bit. I also specified 'title' as the search field, least we get results by The Happy Schnaps Combo and other other artist word matches. I've also noted the number of tracks returned by each term.

I think I'm now officially the only person in the world that couldn't come up with a song match for every word. And I have more than enough songs, too.

I had nothing for 'robot' so don't feel bad. :)

I was somewhat amazed by the number of matches on some of these terms. (It was when I saw 522 tracks found for 'love' that I decided to add # of tracks found to the list.) I also notice that some of the matches were wildcard results, so 'sad' matches 'saddle' in my list. This may skew the results slightly!

Anyway, although it wasn't the first item on my list, I did have Hungry Like the Wolf, whereas you did not, so apparently you actually have better musical tastes than I do. (OK, I think I have it rated as a 3/5, which translates to 'meh' for my personal selection.)

A number of my matches were wildcard results, too. Which is good, or I might have had even more fail.

I never did get into Duran Duran. I liked the visual style of their videos, but I've never owned any of their music.

You're such a music geek. I love that.

My media Monkey is currently malfunctioning. I'm going to fiddle with it next week, so I'll probably snag your meme then. o/~ :*

Also, I think I've been playing too much Glitch. I saw the T-bone on your LJ layout and thought "oh, someone's been nibbling pigs..."

I blame you.

Yay! I'm a bad influence!

Do you need me to poke your MediaMonkey with a sharp stick?

So, I'd never heard of MediaMonkey 'till you mentioned it. I've been using Winamp version 2.91 since, apparently, 2003 since that's the date on the info screen I just checked for version info. *grins* 3 was bad, so every time I rebuild a computer, I've just installed from my old saved copy of 2.91.

This is why I don't belong in IT. I fear change.

So I just downloaded MediaMonkey and figured I'd give it a try. I'm a little worried that I'll get lost in updating tags that I don't have time for, but it does seem like it could be a useful program.

The best part so far, though, is finding some funny tags that I've never noticed before. For instance. I have several songs whose genre is listed as, and I quote, "best fuckin' band ever".
