It could easily be worse ...

I had my standard follow up appointment at the VA today.

Quick disclaimer: I don't mind when someone tells me about their medical problems, especially someone I care about. Of course I also tend to glaze over when someone I only know a little bit babbles on endlessly about their medical history, especially when it's something that's really not that bad.
