July Ponderings

I would say "Independence Day Ponderings" or something like that, but particular thought and activity has been going on all week.

My current pondering: Is is wrong of me to be a little disappointed when I hear the loud boom of an (illegal) M-80 or even an M-88 popping off in my neighborhood ... and it's not followed by "Ow! My fingers!"
