So that backordered surprise for ***** still has not shipped yet. A call to the company says that "Oh, we're getting five of those next week ..." a statement which I didn't let the customer service rep finish since that's what I was told last week. So I've got a replacement item, same functionality, same company, even the same price; drop that first order and send this one instead.

He checked on the status, found that yes indeed they had that on hand and it should go out today. He threw in a shipping upgrade for free since there were problems with the order. I dind't have the heart to tell him that even the standard ground shipping from the Naperville warehouse to ******** was effectively "one day." Oh well.

And yes, I did appologize for being crabby. I perfectly understand that it's not his fault that the item has been backordered for far longer than anticipated, but if I don't bark and growl at them, they might steal my supper dish ... I mean, not process my order correctly.
