I've had that problem with a couple of accounts. I've got a 15 year old yahoo account, that forces me to add 2003 to my yahoo name, becuase i can't access the orignal. Theres a few other things i get on, and discover i've got an old account there, that blocks my name.
Meanwhile, I played city of heroes for about 10 days awhile back, and just found it boring. I've started playing Champions online though, and i love it. It is what i expected a superhero game to be. Diverse characters, rich heroic storylines, and fairly configurable characters. And very few characters look alike, the costume/character field is really really good.
